FAQ

Does the Market take credit or debit cards?

All vendors are encouraged to accept credit cards at their booths.

We encourage customers to have some cash on hand just in case a vendor does not take credit cards or their machine is down. There are ATMs nearby.

Can I use my Oregon Trail Card / SNAP benefits at the Market?

Oregon Trail Cards have replaced food stamps as Oregon’s Food Assistance program. They are Electronic Bank Transfer (EBT) cards that allow recipients to receive their benefits electronically, and access them with a card which acts like a debit card. Card holders must go to the Market Information Booth and buy $1 denomination wooden EBT tokens which may be used in lieu of cash within the guidelines of the program:

  • $1 EBT Tokens may only be used for: fruits, vegetables, meats, fish poultry, dairy products and seeds and plants intended for growing food
  • $1 EBT Tokens may not be used for: non-food items, ready-to-eat foods, hot foods
  • No Change can be given back
  • Tokens are good only at the Tigard Farmers’ Market. We are not authorized to accept tokens from other Farmers’ Markets
WIC & Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Programs and the WIC Fruit and Veggie voucher program

All qualified TFM vendors participate in these food assistance programs and accept their coupons. Vendors are not authorized to give change back for these coupons. For information about qualifying for these programs please contact:
