This Sunday the Tigard Farmers Market will be the host of the American Red Cross for a Blood Drive.

The benefits of donating is that it just feels good to know that you are helping someone out. It is something that you can spare. Many people have blood that they can spare. You can ensure blood is on the shelf when needed. Many people believe that they will not need blood, but many do. Most importantly, you will be someone’s hero. You can help save more than one persons life with just one donation. You also get a juice and yummy cookie too!

Here are the requirements to be a donor.

• Be in good general health and feeling well.
• Be at least 17 years old.
• Weigh at least 110 Ibs.
